Bikepacking between Slovenia and Croatia

Simone Venturelli is a biker who decided to live the bike in a different way, discovering unexplored paths and new emotions. It’s fascinating to follow it in its breathtaking itineraries, and in the world of unsupported bike events.

The last adventure has seen him try his hand in the vast expanses of greenery and endless streams of Slovenian and Croatian lands. 3 days alone for a total of 360 km covered with 4800 meters of altitude gain.

The first day of the three-day trip was between Gorizia and Ljubljana, on secondary roads able to give unique scenery and views. About one hundred kilometers for 1200 meters altitude difference, marked by a hailstorm of all respect!

Then the route from Ljubljana stretches towards Rijeka, in a journey of more than 150 km with 2100 meters of elevation gain. It’s the most challenging but probably the most exciting part. Postcard landscapes and endless stretches of green, alternating with characteristic villages, create a unique atmosphere that can steal the heart. It’s for moments like these that the solo bikepacking trip fills the heart and mind and every fear is nullified.
