OUR LEGENDS
We were born from a cycling legend, Ottavio Bottecchia, the first Italian who, back in 1924, won the most important race in the world, the Tour de France. There are many legends who inspire us and many who have made our bicycles famous, climbing onto the podium in important competitions, leading Bottecchia to be recognized as one of the most important Italian brands in the sector. Our bicycles have been the protagonists of important victories: the 1966 Giro d'Italia with Gianni Motta who managed to beat Anquetil who had dominated all the races; the unforgettable Giro of 1979 with Saronni taking the pink jersey from Moser; the World Championship with Rudi Altig in 1966 and the Tour De France in 1989 when Greg LeMond won perhaps the most exciting edition of the last forty years of the Grande Boucle; Stefano Garzelli's exciting victory in 2010 at the 16th stage of the Giro, and in the same year the victory at Tirreno-Adriatico.
