In search of adventure.
Bastian and Timmi are two adventurous friends, free spirits, who embarked on a 1,000 km bike journey from Graz to Rome.
A totally unsupported bike packing trip aboard the GRAVEL MONSTER, the adventure bike designed for adventure.
Long-distance setup with GRX 610 groupset, travel bags and accessories, double bottle holder and lighting system.
182 km and 1442 m of altitude difference in the second stage.
On the second day, the 182 km route took them to Lake Cavazzo, facing rainy weather and a steep climb followed by an exciting 60 km descent. Conditions that are not always favorable, but that lead you to raise the bar a little higher, and the challenge continues.
The day's effort was then rewarded by the quiet and peace that the lake can offer, enjoying a well-deserved pizza and a few cold swims.
Exploring the beauties of Italy.
The third day was scheduled to stop in Magnadola, near Treviso, home of wine. The boys were welcomed by a local winemaker who guided them in a special wine tasting.
The next day, after 101 km, they reached Isola Verde, right by the sea. A pleasant and flat route that ended in a campsite on the beach, in front of the most beautiful sunset.
The kilometers along the Adriatic coast.
On the fifth day Bastian and Timmi arrived in Rimini, the kilometers were starting to make themselves felt, they were exhausted but determined.
They take a day off to watch the Tour de France and recover their strength in a quiet monastery.
The Tuscan hills.
The journey continued through the Tuscan hills and, after a very long day, the boys finally arrived in Arezzo.
The next day they rode 117km through beautiful mountain towns, ending the day at another breathtaking lake, Lago di Corbara.
Heading for Rome.
Finally, on day nine, Bastian and Tommy made their triumphant entry into Rome. Exhausted but elated, they had conquered several terrains and pushed their abilities to new limits.
