ANOTHER PODIUM FOR THE FACTORY TEAM
At Sinalunga Bike , in the Tuscan town of the same name, this Sunday another great performance for the Bottecchia Factory Team, with third place for Stefano Valdrighi.
In fact, our Stefano Valdrighi fought like a lion against the numerical superiority of the athletes of the Rolling Bike team, then settling - exhausted - for third place, after having chased their every attack in the final part of the race.
The competition, characterized by a uniform trend until the halfway point, was then marked by a long three-way breakaway, with our standard-bearer Davide Masi as the protagonist. From the seven athletes remaining in command after the second, difficult, asperity of the day, in fact, three riders managed to gain an advantage: managing to gain about forty seconds on the chasing group, which was gradually regrouping. In the end, once the attackers had been reabsorbed, the decisive action was launched: a sparkling finale decreed, in addition to the nice third place of Valdrighi, also the seventh of Bertone , the ninth of Cortesi and the tenth of Masi himself, tired from the previous breakaway.
With the Sinalunga Bike, the first block of seasonal races for the Bottecchia Factory Team closes: two victories and countless placings, on the podium and in the top 10. Overall, the team has proven to be solid and always present in every situation, with four different athletes.
