ROLLING BIKE & BOTTECCHIA FACTORY ON THE PODIUM OF THE GF BASSA VALDICHIANA
It was an all Bottecchia podium at the Gran Fondo "Bassa Valdichiana" in Città della Pieve. The Rolling Bike and Bottecchia Factory teams put on a show last Sunday, during the second race of the season.
Cold and rainy weather characterized the entire weekend, also affecting the conditions of the ground on the race track. As you can easily imagine, the mud was the decisive factor of the competition, affecting the smoothness and grip for all the riders involved.
Filippo Bertone confirms his excellent start to the season, repeating on the podium in third place, behind the two Rolling Bike, Saitta and Spica . In sixth, eighth and ninth place were classified, in order, Cortesi, Masi and Valdrighi . The latter, finally, returned to racing after a flu that had forced him to delay his debut.
Four athletes in the top nine positions is a noteworthy fact, undoubtedly an indication of the excellent start to the season of the entire team. Morale is high and the appointments are not long in coming: already next Sunday, in Sicily, the team will be expected at the start of the Gran Fondo Valle dei Vini.
Finally, it is worth mentioning the Under23 category result of Cortesi , first in this partial ranking, he is now also leader of the Umbria Marathon and Umbria-Tuscany circuits. Cortesi is one of the new additions for 2025 and is already proving to be a very solid and consistent athlete.
